Enhancing FCV Operations with Geospatial ICT Tools

This self-paced course has been designed to introduce three types of geospatial ICT tools that can be utilized in an FCV setting: remote sensing, drones, and mobile phones. Each module contains an introductory video (or videos), interactive content, and a deeper dive into specific case studies.

Microdata Dissemination and Protection

This intermediate-level course offers foundational tools and methods for microdata anonymization, protection and dissemination. The course presents the use of international metadata standards and best practices for the documentation and cataloguing of microdata through hands-on training sessions and open-source software and tools. All software applications used in training are open-source software and freely downloadable. 

Deep Dive into Data Visualization

This intermediate-level course is designed to provide a holistic overview of data visualization including the use of charts, dashboards and other visual assets to create intuitive interactive and static data products for varied audiences. The course is also designed with activity components, allowing participants to create varied outputs, ensuring their understanding of the different tools being taught. 

Collecting Mobile Phone Data for High-Frequency Monitoring

Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, the importance and benefits of phone surveys have been recognized around the world. This training covers each stage of the phone survey life cycle, including questionnaire design, sampling design, use of Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing, and remote data quality monitoring.
